UPCOMING EXHIBITS OF THE MONTH:

MARCH/APRIL:  GRAY LYONS is a photographer and installation artist whose work addresses themes of memory, history, sexuality and self. She has received degrees from Bard College at Simon’s Rock, Savannah College of Art and Design and Towson University. Her work has been exhibited and published nationally and internationally, and can be found in the permanent collection of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction, the Siena Art Institute Library, and the Brauer Museum of Art. Ms. Lyons currently resides in Indiana, and teaches photography at Indiana University South Bend.

MAY/JUNE:  LINDA WILSON  received her MFA degree in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design and is a working artist living in South Bend, Indiana. She is an instructor at Indiana University South Bend and Holy Cross College. 

Ms. Wilson has been published in print and web-based periodicals including Camera Arts Magazine, Curve Magazine, Light Leaks Magazine, and National Public Radio. She has exhibited her work in both national and international venues. For 2013, Ms. Wilson’s imagery is included in various exhibitions including: International Juried Photography Exhibition, at the 1212 Gallery in Richmond, VA, 6th International Juried Plastic Camera Show, at the RayKo Photo Center in San Francisco, CA, Lost and Found, at the Darkroom Gallery in Essex Junction, VT, and At Second Glance, Pei Ling Gallery in Savannah, GA. Additionally, she has an anthotype image featured in the 3rd edition of Christopher James’ “The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes,” (to be released this year).

 

Linda Wilson's main artistic pursuits focus within the areas of photography and printmaking. Presently, Ms. Wilson is exploring alternative photographic processes (tintypes, cyanotypes, and toy cameras). Her history, experiences and environments inspire much of Ms. Wilson’s work and she views life as an “art adventure.”

JULY/AUGUST:  GINNY SCOTT & KEITH SCOTT

Ginny Scott is an abstract/action painter who relocated to La Porte Indiana from Chicago.  She has exhibited widely in many galleries, including New York and Westchester County and her paintings have been represented in many juried shows, group shows and solo exhibits.  She has won several first prizes and honorable mentions.  Ginny taught art in her studios for many years in New York, Chicago and Florida.  She is a member of the Northern Indiana Artists Inc., Berrien Artists' Guild, and the Area Artists' Association of the Lubeznik Center for the Arts.  Her paintings are in many private collections within the United States and Europe.  Ginny's studio is located in La Porte, Indiana.
Keith Scott is a well know Chicago Blues Musician , songwriter and bandleader.  He has toured throughout the United States and Europe and perfoms regularly both acoustically and with his band.  Several years ago, Keith became interested in photography while touring and began exploring his interest in nature and wildlife.  Many of his photographs reflect his recent tour of Washington State, Seattle, and Montana.
